“Classic Holiday” $20 Make up Look

December 8, 2014

Hello loves! I am so excited to write about this post because it is another collaboration with my lovely friends, Jackie of and Angela of Also, I just love the holidays! Christmas makes me really happy. The Christmas trees, glimmering lights, sugar cookies, christmas songs, shopping for presents and Christmas parties!

I thought it would be really fun to share you beauties what make up look I would wear using products that I bought from Rite Aid for less than $20. YES! A full face make up plus a classic holiday eye make up look for less than twenty bucks! How awesome is that?

$20 Make up Look

To spice up this collaboration, we thought of engaging everybody who would wanna do a $20 Make up Look with us. It is just like the very popular tag called “The $20 Make up Challenge” but to change it up a bit, the challenge is the products must be from Rite Aid! Here are the rules to follow:
The challenge of this tag is all make up products must be from Rite Aid so include your Rite Aid receipt along with your haul on your blog post.
The total of all the products purchased must be $20 before taxes. You can use any coupons you might have and take advantage of whatever deals and discounts Rite Aid has to offer.
You can use any make up brushes, sponges and any other make up tools you have to create your $20 make up look.
When posting your looks on Instagram and Twitter, please use the hashtag: #RITEAIDBeautyTag
and don’t forget to tag us (@FaithRoxas, @FiveTwoBeauty_ and @Koreandoll)
Have fun shopping and be creative in coming up with your game plan! And of course tag anybody, all the beauty bloggers you think who would be up for this challenge.

20makeuplook_04 receipts

Just a little disclaimer, I get 20% off on anything I buy regular price from Rite Aid for being a part of their Rite Aid Network. How to be a gold member? Keep shopping in Rite Aid and when you earn 1000 points, you’ll get 20% OFF storewide for a year. For more information, click here:

Onto my game plan..
As you can see, I have two receipts because I actually went to two different Rite Aid locations. Two trips on the same week, so they had the same sales and discounts pretty much. What I had in mind is to really show you that you can achieve a full face make up without spending a lot of money. And I really wanted to get a variety of products from different brands and use them in as many ways as possible. I could have gotten a foundation from a different brand but I just picked this one from Maybelline because I do like it. I also picked the products that I thought I would keep after doing this beauty tag.

I got five products for $17.17 before taxes after all the discounts. Maybelline was having a 40% off everything that week, so I was able to get their Fit Me Foundation and “The Nudes” palette. NYC was having a 50% off everything, so I bought their Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder. I also got a Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Red Velvet and Rimmel London Extra Super Lash Mascara and I applied my 20% off for these products.

How I did this look? I applied the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation all over my face then set it with NYC’s Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder, just like the usual. Then I grabbed Maybelline’s “The Nudes” palette and took the sixth shade on the top row which is a matte deep brown shade and used that to fill in my brows. For the eye make up, the first shade I took is the second shade from the bottom row which is a perfect matte brown shadow and I used that as my blending color all over my crease. Then I took the same shade that I used for my brows and used that to deepen my crease and give this look a smokey effect. And of course we cannot forget the focus of this make up look, the gold shimmer on my eyelids using that third shade on the bottom row. I also added some of that on my lower lash line just to make my eyes stand out more. The last shade I took was the fifth shade from the bottom row and I applied that on my brow bone and my inner tear duct to highlight those areas. I used an angled brush and the Rimmel London Extra Super Lash Mascara for my simple winged out eyeliner and also for defining my top and bottom lashes. For contour, I used the second shade on the bottom row of the palette and the fifth shade on the same row for highlight. Lastly, this look wouldn’t be complete without a classic Red Cherry Lips, I used Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Red Velvet.

And that is it for my “Classic Holiday” $20 Make up Look! I hope you beauties liked it, I’d love to know what you think and I hope you join our beauty tag.
