Everyday Foundation Routine

April 10, 2017

Hey loves! It has been a while once again. I feel like I’m always on and off in the blogging world but it’s definitely a passion of mine that I will never stop. As usual, adult life has been taking all of my time. Anyway, I thought I’d share you guys my simple foundation routine. This is how I do mine everyday, nothing fancy and definitely affordable. Most of the products are from the drugstore that I know a lot of you are fond of as well.

I already did my skin care routine before doing my foundation. If you guys would like to see how I do my skin care routine, do let me know on the comments below. Alright, onto the steps and product used.

I used NYX Shine Killer. It’s a foundation primer that prepares skin for silky smooth makeup application. This product has a colorless gel formula which I really love! It gives me a smooth base where my foundation just glides on so easily. It’s not greasy and keeps my face shine free all day.

My all time favorite drugstore foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Poreless + Matte Foundation! I have tried others, but I always go back to this and have been using it every single day. The coverage is definitely buildable, it doesn’t cake up and gives you a natural finish. If you’re looking for a great foundation that is super affordable, definitely give this one a try!

CORRECTING STICK (forgot to include in the picture)
Elf Correcting Stick “Correct Dark Circles”. I have recently just added this to my foundation routine and I’m actually loving it. I don’t have a huge problem with dark circles on my under eye but this just helps my concealer pop even more!

A definite steal, LA Girl Pro Concealer! I’m telling you guys, if you have not tried this product out yet, go get it ASAP. It’s such an awesome concealer for the under eye. It’s super easy to blend, medium to full coverage and it stays on all day.

I set it all up with my Ben Nye Banana Powder. I think it was 3 years ago when I bought my first and still not tired of it and have kept repurchasing as soon as I ran out. It’s a great setting powder and a little goes a long way. This small container can last me for about 5 months. How awesome it that?

An oldie but a goodie! NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder in Sunny. It’s really not easy to find the right shade of bronzer but I love how this one looks on my skin tone. It blends really nicely and gives you a natural looking finish.

Another classic that will always be one of my favorites! ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Fiji. The perfect everyday rosey shade! It just pretty much completes the look and add a little bit of natural looking flush on your skin.

We cannot forget to add some glow! Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glow Palette, Medium. I love this product so much! I use it to highlight my face and also to do my eye make up at times. It’s super pigmented and a little goes a long way.

Oh, and here’s a simple and quick Youtube video showing you how I apply the products mentioned. I hope you find this post and the video helpful. Let me know on the comments below what you think. If you have tried these products out as well, I’d love to know your thoughts about them. Xoxo ?

Love these products…I use BB cream instead of foundation at this time of year as I find it is lighter and more comfortable in the heat. But when I’m going out I also use a Maybelline foundation. Will definitely need to check out the Shine Killer you recommend..I’m naughty and rarely use primer!
