How To Be Single

February 15, 2016

Hey loves! I hope everyone had an awesome Valentine’s Day this year. It is not that big of a deal to me, even when I’m in a relationship or not, it’s just a regular day but yesterday was really fun!

One of my bestfriends, Jackie of and I celebrated the hearts day together. We have been really busy with work and reality that we haven’t actually spent a whole lot of time lately so we thought today was a perfect day to have a girls day out.

We met up around 12:30pm at Astor Place to go to this ramen place called Ippudo which I will be talking about on a different post which should be up this week. Today was freezing cold so having ramen noodles was the best idea ever! The restaurant was really packed when we got there so we had to wait a little bit. Great lunch I must say!

After lunch, we took an Uber and headed to Battery Park! I don’t usually hangout around this area but it’s beautiful! I cannot wait for spring or summer to come and go here to take pictures by the water. We went to this very luxurious shopping center called Brookfield Place. It has higher end shopping stores, an amazing food court, ice skating rink, perfect place to unwind or just hang out. Of course after lunch, we had to have dessert and coffee so we went to Le District and got their “Petit Four” which are smaller version of their french desserts. I believe we got a cheesecake, chocolate mousse, chocolate cup with raspberry cream and layered chocolate cake. Everything was so delicious with my Cafe Au Lait!

After hanging out for couple of hours in Brookfield Place, we went to Regal which is just across the street and saw How To Be Single. I thought this was a perfect movie for me HAHA! It was really funny but also relatable and really showed how dating life can be, specially for those who live in this city. It can be pretty tough! What I learned from this movie is do you first, do what makes you happy, find and get to know yourself and know what you really want and make it happen.

Anyway, we ended our night with a crepe called “La Belge” from Le District. It had belgian chocolate and speculoos cookies! It was the best way to end our Valentine’s date. Thanks Jackie! β™₯
