New York Wanderlust

I love New York!

July 29, 2013

A bad day in New York City is still better than a good day anywhere else.

August 24, 2010 I took a bus from Falls Church, Virginia to New York City. I was in search of something but I didn’t know what it was then and still don’t. It all started in 34th St. – Penn Station, everything and everybody was moving too fast. I was overwhelmed and curious at the same time but I felt very welcomed! There are times in life, you’ll feel like you belong with someone, something, somewhere. New York is that someone, something, somewhere for me.

The City that Never Sleeps! The bright lights of Times Square and the towering skyscrapers, Big Apple’s museums to Central Park, lots and lots of interesting people, miles and miles of biking/walking paths, green lawns, trees galore and playgrounds. Countless restaurants, malls, shopping stores, bars, clubs.. you can find anything and everything pretty much. Way too many talented people performing in the subway, singing their hearts out or dancing til they drop it’s so much fun! I also love that I don’t need a car to go places, fantastic transportation options! From three airports, subway, bus, ferry, yellow cab, bike and walking. If you’re looking for more of a rural view, Upstate New York is just a short ride away. Hop on the bus or train for rivers, lakes, waterfalls, mountains and hiking trails.

I love your four seasons NYC! I have to say that Spring and Fall are my favorites. Beautiful spring flowers blooming and the perfect breeze. Color change of the leaves in autumn, incredibly mesmerizing. Lots of free concerts, fireworks and street fairs on summertime. When it snows in winter, it’s magical. The holidays here in NYC are spectacular! Let’s not forget the 75 foot twinkling tree with happy ice skaters below in Rockefeller Center. Simply amazing!

Dear New York,

You have made me into who I am today. I feel independent because of you! You are the reason why I think fast, walk fast and talk fast. You make me dream big and believe anything is possible. You’ve changed and taught me so much! You’re my inspiration and happiness, I’m forever grateful! There isn’t a place in the world quite like you. I could never leave. Please keep inspiring me and teach me new things. To forever give me a million reasons to stay. Thank you for making me feel like I am on top of the world! I love you with all my heart..

Yay! You’re so lucky. I just want to live in New York city. That would be a dream come true. My dream proposal is in NYC, during Christmas time, with all the pretty lights, and while it’s snowing. *sigh* 🙂

Hayyy… I want to cry. Like seriously! People know that New York City is like my dream city. And by the “dream”, it’s not like “I want to go to New York.”.. It’s “I’m doing my best in everything so I could go to New York!”

YOU ARE VERY VERY VERY LUCKY!!!! Pray for me that my dream will come true din! 🙂

Just a question, is your family there din ba? Or you’re just by yourself?

PS. Crying right now because I want to go to Times Square hahaha
