Influenster Violet Voxbox

December 11, 2013

Inspired by this season’s dark, moody florals, the Violet Voxbox is for the beauty queens of Influenster Nation. And, as surely as winter comes, we know that under layers of snow, spring violets still grow on.

Hello my beauties! I am back with another review for Influenster. I was pretty surprised to get another box from them because the last one I received, I didn’t get to finish all the tasks they wanted me to. So I guess, it’s sweeter the second time around *HAHA* Sorry, just being silly. Anyway, if you don’t know what Influenster is, it’s basically an awesome program where you sign up, create your profile and unlock badges by answering questions, linking your social accounts, etc. If you’re socially active online or offline, always the first to tell friends about the latest discoveries, you’ll have the chance to receive the very cool Voxbox full of goodies [sample size + full-size] for you to review. Goody Quikstyle : $12.99
I was so happy when I saw this in my voxbox, because I’ve been really thinking of getting myself a new hair brush so thanks Influenster! This product claims to remove 30% of water as you style your hair, so it’s like a a towel and a brush in one. I must say that it doesn’t look like other hair brush out there, so that was interesting. My hair is not too thin and not too thick, so it dries pretty fast. I towel dried my hair before using this brush. I didn’t notice any extreme drying but my hair wasn’t as wet as it would have normally been. I like that it’s Lightweight and flat. The only bad thing I’d say is even thou it claims to have an antimicrobial microfiber, I’m not quite sure if it’s sanitary. I’ll try to use it more often and will give you an update.

SOYJOY “Cranberry” : $0.99
As you can see from the picture I posted above, YES! I do smell my food before trying it out. Is that weird for you? Then I guess I am weird! *HAHA* If you’re like me who doesn’t snack on fruit bars often, you might not like it. My first impression about this was “not very good” as you can see from the picture above again, but when I actually gave it another try I started liking it. A lot of people don’t seem to like the texture, but I do. It is pretty dry that’s probably why I like it, it’s different. I am so glad I got the Cranberry flavor, it was yummy!

Sally Hansen New Triple Shine “Sparkling Water” : $4.99
I love Sally Hansen! But I haven’t used any for quite a long time, so I don’t remember how the quality is. So getting a new nail polish from them in my box was pretty awesome, I got to try it again. This certain collection is available in 30 beautiful shades. The color I received is called “Sparkling Water” which is perfect because it does look like it. I don’t know if the glitter has something to do with it but the texture for me is a little thick. And it kinda made it harder for me to apply it on my nails. Also it dries very quick so if you don’t get a perfect brush stroke the first time, it can dry to be lumpy or imperfect. But the shine is amazing just like what it claims to have. For the price it’s worth a try!

Goody Athletique Headband : $6.00
This is perfect when I go to the gym! Thou I wish I got the black one instead but it doesn’t matter, it does the job! I love that it’s adjustable with a strong velcro so you can adjust it any way you want it. Now my hair won’t bother me while I’m working out, great headband.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products mentioned above. I’d love to hear your experiences too! Xo
