Nail Salon Date at Primp & Polish!

August 15, 2014

Hello loves! I wanna share you my very awesome experience on my first “nail salon date” with my girlfriends Angela of AngelaRicardo.com and Jackie of FiveTwoCertified.blogspot.com at Primp & Polish located at Williamsburg, Brooklyn! I had so much fun with my bestfriends and that day was just so relaxing and really pampering.

First word that I thought of when I came in the salon was Classy! I really love the whole interior of the place, elegant and polished. The huge walls of nail lacquers from Essie to Zoya, OPI, CND and a lot more higher end brands, probably my most favorite spot on their salon. You all know how much of a nail polish junkie I am, right? So that was pretty amazing! I also think that their cocktail bar-like counter for manicures and the garden for pedicures are very unique. It just makes the place so different from others that I have been to.

Here, I am showing you lovelies the before shot of my naked nails YES *lol* a little bit of the gel and nail art process. As you can see on the picture, they have these gel nail polish swatches where you could pick the perfect match for whatever creation you want for your nails. You can actually bring any pictures of nail arts, prints, patterns, etc. They’re very open to new ideas and they always do their best to make their customers happy.

The nail art that I picked was actually from their Instagram account @primpnpolish, created by one of their amazing artists. This nail art is really adorable! It’s vintagey and cute that’s how it caught my eyes. I also really liked the color combination, very girly and perfect for summer!

Selina was the artist who did my nails. I don’t know about you but the hand massage is my favorite part on getting my manicure done. They have this super amazing Cucumber Hand Scrub by OPI, it felt so wonderful and it smelled delightful! Selina did a really great job on my nails. She took her time to make sure that she did every detail of the nail art that I wanted. The finished look of my nails seriously looked like stickers or nail wraps but everything was free-handed. It was amazing and very impressive!

Tada! Here’s the final look of the gel manicure that Selina created for me. It was so beautiful! And of course lots of pictures with my girlfriends and the awesome staff of Primp and Polish! Kieu Bui, Vice-President, she co-owns the salon with her sister, Lauren Bui (President) and Aliz Sass, the Director of Business Operations. Everybody was very sweet, nice and friendly. They made sure that we got a truly excellent experience. Thank you so much Primp & Polish!
