Purange Madness!

July 16, 2012

Hello ladies! I was kinda bored today, so I thought of painting my nails. I was thinking of doing another gradient nail art but I don’t know, I came up with this one. Since color blocking has been very popular on clothing/fashion, I tried using it in a different way. I think this is really perfect for summer! The colors that I picked were orange and purple because I find these colors pretty vibrant. But of course, you can go ahead and play with other colors too. This is so much fun and easy to do. Definitely expect a lot of color blocking nail art posts here on my bloggie! ♡

Things I used ♡

★ Base Coat
★ ELF’s Mango Madness
★ Wet n Wild’s Through the Grapevine
★ Top Coat/ Nail Hardener
★ Q-Tips & Nail Polish Remover

I don’t think I really have to write down step by step, because this is really easy to do. I applied the orange one first and waited for it to dry a little bit. Then I took the purple nail polish and created french tips. It doesn’t have to be perfect tips because you kind of wanna make it more fun looking. Apply the top coat when you’re done to seal your cute & summery nails. Take a q-tip, dip it on the nail polish remover to clean up if you made a little mess around your fingers.

I totally love Wet n Wild & ELF nail polishes. I believe they cost $2 each and the quality is really great. The brushes are amazing too, make it easier to apply them. The bottles are adorable! :loves:

The colors used are cute! Do they also look good on morena skin? I’m dark kase. haha.
I would suggest this to my friends since we’re only the ones who are painting our nails. And we do it whenever we get bored with a talking professor and he couldn’t notice us naman since we’re sitting at the back and he’s sitting in front. haha 🙂

oh em gee! that’s fab! super lavet sis. I’m so jealous! <3

I always go to the salon to get my nails done. add up the spa 🙂
But I envy you coz you know how to do your nails. that's def. and advantage. It's cool that I get to pamper myself by going to the salon but it's not like I can experiment with the nail colors. plus, what about the biglaang lakads and my nails aren't pretty anymore 🙁 disaster!

I love the nail polish colors you used! Usually, i stick to red tones for nail polishes or dark colors, but for summer~ lighter colors are awesome too! colorblocking is so fun. i like how you did that on your nails 😀 i usually just paint my nails myself since they chip fast and i like changing colors a lot.

I haven’t tried ELF polishes yet but they’re affordable for their size! I’m also yearning for those gradient/ombre nails but I don’t know how to do them. I only go to salons for pedicures. Since I only wear beige/tan colors for my fingernails, I just paint them on my own. =)
